The styling of the website is stored in a file at a different address from the page you are viewing. Sometimes this file does not load, and hence the styling is not applied.

Um, something is wrong with the "quote" button too. It isn't allowing people to do it anymore. It just comes up as [quote][/quote]
HE has all the answers

The wait for that perfect someone may be long and painful, but the payoff lasts even longer, and is the most painless thing in the world.

The Quote tool works fine.

The basic language of webpages is HTML, hypertext markup language. In order to make it easier for people to control the presentation of posts by adding HTML, without actual knowledge of HTML, phpBB have create BBCode.

For example, BBCode:
Code: Select all
[B]Text inbetween B tags will make text bold[/B]

Is then converted into this HTML:
Code: Select all
<b>Text in between B tags will make text bold</b>

Which results with:
Text inbetween B tags will make text bold

Beneath the post composer there are four options, the first is Disable BBCode in this post. If this checkbox is ticked then the BBCode will not be changed into HTML code.

"It's only easy if you know the answer" as Chris Tarrant says regarding Millionaire.

I think it's a problem with the web server handling the load the forum puts on it. We can't really do anything about it.

I don't want to tempt fate but *whispers* I haven't had any critical errors for a while. What about everyone else? Maybe the boards are picking up!
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

Just remember to keep smiling!
