Aw, thank you Pee.

No, she wasn't old, but she had been ill for 20 years with Parkinson's, and 'should' have gone a long time ago. So it's some satisfaction that she did as well as she did.

Me neither, I was actually shocked when he said it. I was going to start another thread about families so I might do it now.

Very sorry to hear that Ruth. It's hard when a pet gets put to sleep because if only they could tell you what is wrong then you could help them sooner.

I hope the funeral goes ok today for you Captain_Flynn.

He was about 12 I think, so not that old, but he had kidney problems, and he'd been poorly for a long time. But so long that I stopped worrying about it if you know what I mean? I had no idea it had got that bad, I REALLY wish she'd called me. I'm so sad that I wont get to see him again ever. I would really have liked to have been there.

I feel so stupid getting so upset over a cat, but I cant help it :(

Not at all. I remember when my cat died, I thought it would have been less upsetting if my boyfriend had died! Which it would, because I'd known my cat longer and lived with her 24-hours a day for her whole life.

Thats quite funny snail. I know exactly how you feel thought snail; my dog got put down 10years ago and I still know how it felt. She had kidney failure. She was like a best friend to me :(.

Sorry to hear about your cat rufio, that is so sad. Dont be ashamed about grieving for a cat, remember pets are part of your family too and therefore naturally you'll grieve and thats fine.

Dipsy, many thanks. The funeral went well and exactly to plan.

Very sad for his family!

I've been on his official site and it's confirmed on there too (there have been so many spoofs going on about him for ages as well).
