I only saw about 5mins of the show, and saw about 10mins of the repeat!
Was good from what I saw though.

He was so good! I love the x factor, but i'm not sure i like the live audience thing. I was clapping and shouting when it started tho! I was gonna audition this year, but i had job interviews. I'm kicking myself now so i think i will definately do it next year.

I agree.

I didn't see it; but I saw a bit of the repeat, I saw the first bit and the very last bit. My mam recorded it though so I'll watch it all with her.

I'm ok I think. I auditioned for Pop Idol 2003 but didn't get very far. I always worry that I think I sound better than I am. Some of those awful people on there obviously think they are good.

You would only have been 18 ish in 2003 wouldnt you? I bet you've got better since then?

I think a lot of it on these things is just luck/the look etc.

I do watch it but I think it's really uncomfortable viewing with the live audience - it's all a bit freak show now with the people that sound awful. To get through to the Simon Cowell stage you have to have sung in front of a producer who will then decide whether you make the cut or not ... meaning that the really really bad ones and really really good ones get through, plus people with a 'story' (my friends auditioned for X Factor 2008 and got asked if they had stories). So when some of the rubbish people that go on saying "I know I can sing" have already been given false hope! When it was the little room I preferred it but ... yeah, I don't like the fact that really really awful singers are wheeled onto the stage just to be laughed at.

Thank goodness, I thought I was the only one. I'd rather poke out my own eyes than watch it.

Have a read of the above article (sorry if I'm not allowed to post a link)

Backs up LME79's story, and Pop Idol wasn't much different 6 years ago.

I think I'll give auditioning a miss!

You should be able to download or stream them via here Weasley http://www.itv.com/itvplayer/

On the BBC iplayer I think they keep things on for 2 weeks after the day it was showed; I don't know about the ITV one though
