Self-reflection

Postby Deedee1 » Fri Sep 11, 2009 7:49 pm

I've decided to have a bit of self-analysis day and write down my 5 best and worst characteristics.
Feel free to post yours too. It can be quite therapeutic! Be honest, and don't be afraid to big yourself up, or equally, put yourself down! None of us are perfect and I'll try not to judge you...despite my No.1 worst characteristic!!! :)

Best:
1. Lots of love to give
2. Loyal to close friends and loved ones
3. Good sense of humour
4. Ambitious
5. Strong-willed

Worst:
1. Judgemental
2. Gossipy
3. Sarcastic
4. Stubborn
5. Snobby

It's weird writing it actually. I found it easier to write my worst traits which is a bit worrying as I probably could've added to that list even more! It's also strange because I consider my best points to also be my worst - my strong-willed nature means that I won't be swayed and I'm very head-strong, but sometimes it goes too far and I become stubborn. And also I think I have a good sense of humour but then again I am sometimes way too sarcastic! Argh!

Also, a bit of a test for anyone who knows about star signs, I was wondering if you can guess what sign I am just from my traits?

That's enough self-reflection for me, I'm going to the freezer to tuck into some Ben n Jerry's Half-Baked...did I mention "glutton" in my list...? :D

Hmm this is an interesting one:

Nice things.... I am:

- loyal
- honest
- thoughtful
- reasonably intelligent
- I've got a good sense of humour

Worst things... I am:

- Hot headed
- Stubborn
- I can be a bit up-tight in the respect that I need to be super-duper organised (can be a good thing, but can also make me a pain in the bum!)
- I over analyse
- A bit paranoid sometimes

It was much easier to do the 'worst things'!!

I think it's easier for most people to do "worst things". People find it hard to list their good qualities, because even if they think them, they feel like they dont want to admit it for fear of appearing big-headed.

I actually cant do the list at all. Brain off today.

3. Loving
4. Loyal
5. Honest (brutally most of the time  )

Bad Traits
1. Loud (although lots better than I used to be)
2. Honest (Brutally at times and can get me in trouble - sometimes peeple don't really want the truth)
3. Opinionated
4. Hold in my emotions. (So once you make me angry you better run because you may get years worth all at once)
5. Worrier (for all the wrong reasons :( )

Actually, having read Bel Bel's, I think I should definitely have added worrier to my list! I am a born worrier, just like my parents!

But I think everyone (most people) is kind, ambitious, intelligent, honest, funny, caring and loyal. To be honest I don't think I could name one regular visitor on here who doesn't tick all of those boxes.

I don't think that's true actually. A lot of people completely lack ambition. Not a huge amount of people are that funny either. Etc etc.

I'm not saying that in relation to PPers btw ;) just in general...

When I said everyone I meant on PP and not everyone in general.

I know a LOT of people who serioulsy lack ambition.
