Being Single

Post by snail » Tue Oct 20, 2009 9:49 pm

I find both David Mitchell and Robert Webb very sexy but in different ways. When watching Peep Show or Mitchell and Webb I swing from wanting one more than the other, then back again.

Can you tell someone here's been single for 8 months?

I am going to get my legs slapped by the other mods for taking this off-topic too

No shame in being single for 8 months. I've been single a few years and its okay. More important to be with the right person than just anyone, thats my outlook.
Remember how the runway lights looked one night long ago when you were lost and found your way, and how-you still dont know?

It's so right though.

Yeah, sometimes you have to sit back and see a potential partner for what they are rather than just thinking 'wow they're great' and getting with them without really knowing their values.

umm what do you guy define as single? as in no dates, no men, nothing? or as in a few dates, short relationships (3 months) that didn't work out etc? If its the second one i have been single for 4 years.... umm thats depressing

Id say you're single unless you refer to each other as boyfriend/girlfriend (or obviously husband/wife)... in my opinion.

Dont worry. As I advised before just use your time being single productively - get over the past hurt, get comfortable on your own and just learn to enjoy your life. Once you do this you can then think about being with someone else because then your mind is clear of the past boyfriends who did you wrong.

I've moved the above posts from the "10 Things About You" thread, because it seems to have become a discussion in its own right and it was interrupting the 10 Things thread (and in the hope that the other mods won't notice it was me who took it off-topic in the first place  ).

I love Peep Show sooooo much! But I don't fancy either of them.

As for being single; I think it's good for you! I was single for about 7yrs while my children were young (apart from a couple of very brief flings that I wouldn't class as relationships). I didn't want to introduce any men into their lives and I was quite happy on my own.

I have to agree with Jo, I love Peep Show, but I don't find either of them remotely attractive!
