Films That Make You Cry (Happy or Sad Tears)

Postby LemonJuice87 » Thu Feb 04, 2010 1:06 pm

I have a few that make me cry.

The Lion King, i was 7 when it came out. I screamed the cinema down when Mufasa died. It just wasn't fair!!
It still has the same effect on me i'm afraid. Lol. I have to skip past when my daughter is watching it, i simply cannot subject her to that kind of heartbreak at her age lol.
The film has a bit of a sentimental value aswell. At the time my family had a Rhodesian Ridgeback (A Lion Hunting dog, google it, they are gorgeous!!) called....... Simba. I just want to state that the film was made in 1994 and my Simba was born in 1986, they stole his name!!! But Simba the lion and Simba the dog were so simular it was scary! If that makes any sense hahaha.

Another film is Marley and Me. Basically because I felt thier pain at the end of the film. Our family was exactly like the family in the film, we were all heartbroken when Simba had to be put down. So me being clever I decided to watch that film while Mr. LemonJuice was working away. I cried for 2 hours. I think I hadnt properly grieved for Simba so I was doing that lol.

And... Deep Impact. It's just one of those films. When the two kids go off to save themselves, the Mum gives her daughter her baby sister to save too and the daughter was a bit hysterical. That bit got me.

Anyways..... Whats yours?
You know you're a mum when the thought of food shopping alone becomes exciting.

When you and your significant other are having an argument, just take all of your clothes off during the spat and stand there. Something is bound to happen!! =]

Little Man made me cry with laughter so much my stomach hurt.

I tend to try and forget sad films becasue they upset me. However The green mile was sooo sad

Yeh, it was good and funny for the most part, but the funeral scene where he reads out the W.H. Auden poem always makes me want to cry!

I was going to say Marley and Me. I've watched it twice and cried both times.

A film I was recently called Regin on Me with Adam Sandler was quite sad and I might've welled up if my b/f wasn't there.

I even cry at some t.v adverts, so my list of films that make me cry would be pretty long... the latest was when i went to see New moon in the cinema (i'd read the book, but i guess having been recently dumped made me a bit more weepy) i was so glad i'd brought tissues.
Sorry, can't hang out, it's Quidditch season. You know how it is...

I'm exactly the same, Tori - everything makes me cry! I don't think it's because I feel things more, I think it's because it takes less emotion for me to form tears than it does for most people - if that makes sense. People around me think it's hilarious when I start sobbing at any slightly sentimental or vaguely upsetting stuff but I just can't help it :(
