Well we had an offer for our bottom line on Friday afternoon, we thought about it on Friday night and rang the estate agents first thing on Sat morning and said to suggest to our potential buyer that he could have the house for an extra £2k with most of our furniture thrown in (he asked about our furniture when he viewed the house)... however, we haven't heard from our estate agent except for an email on Saturday morning to say she couldn't get through to him.

I know it's going to sound daft and this whole thing is all part and parcel of selling a house but I am starting to feel really disheartened and gutted. I am worried he has changed his mind, it seems odd that she can't get hold of him. I am sick of not knowing where I stand. Selling a house is so stressful and such a rollercoaster of emotions, especially in this rubbish housing market  It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't mind where we live, but I hate it. I had just started to think it was looking likely that we'd be able to move....

I don't know what I am going to achieve by posting, I just needed to get it off my chest.

grrr! grrr! ggggrrrrr!

Our estate agents finally managed to get hold of the guy this morning (so a whole week has gone by since he made his offer) and he is now saying he wants the house at the same price he originally offered, but with the furniture thrown in!!!! Cheeky bleep!

We've gone back with a compromise but I haven't heard anything, so I won't hold my breath. Maybe in another weeks time we'll have his response. I don't have the patience for this!

I think I am probably posting to myself as no one replied to my last one, haha :-({|=

It is amazing how cheeky some people can be, but I suppose they feel they have nothing to lose :x When large sums of money are involved, it does bring out this sort of thing.

The thing about not replying, there are some times when I'm interested in something that's going on in a PP-er's life, but I just can't think of anything to actually say - the person's venting/updating us, but there's no comment you can really make. I'm sure it's the same for others, but we still want to hear what's happening :D

We have accepted an offer on our house :D :D :D

He's a cash buyer and doesn't have anything to sell, so as long as he is serious about it, this should be it!! 8)

Did he tell you he was a cah buyer or the estate agent

We got told we had a cash buyer but actually what they meant was he had enough cash left over after paying his current mortgage off to buy our house :x So we had a chain with two people below we didn't even know about until one oulled out

Anyway either way that is good news an offer is an offer, well done :D

Now good luck with all the paperwork :o

He's literally a cash buyer - he's not getting a mortgage and equally he doesn't have to sell anything before he can buy ours. He has appointed his solicitors now, we are just waiting for confirmation from them that he has the funds then we will appoint ours. Woohoo :D
