Jaw Extender

Postby ennis81 » Mon Nov 01, 2010 11:16 am

Hi everyone, happy monday!!
I got train tracks on my teeth back in March after a long time of hating my teeth (I'm 29 now) I hated them at first but after the inital pain and getting used to them I didn't care anymore. Teeth are quite straight now but need a few more months of treatment.
Now on to the funny bit.....had an appointment on friday and he tells me he's going to fit a "jaw extender" on my upper arch to widen my smile :D
Turns out this jaw extender is like an auld hanger caught up in my palet. Have been trying to get used to it with eating etc all weekend. Have an awful lisp though, every time i talk i want to laugh......dear god hope this lisp goes soon, have to anwser the phones all day in work!!!!!!
It could have been worse I suppose there was talk of a head brace at one stage lol
