Belfast

Postby jen » Mon Mar 14, 2011 4:08 pm

Hi Folks

Ok so i'm probably leaving this a bit late but..

I'm going away to Belfast on Wednesday with two of my friends. We're there until Saturday and it's just generally going to be a mates break with probably a lot of drinking (especially on st Patricks day) but i was just wondering if anyone has been/lived there before and knows anywhere of interest to visit/things to do during the day.

To be honest we only really want to go for a good time and do fun things, so although i like history, I can just imagine my friends faces if i mention a museum to them.

Thanks

p.s we are doing the bus tour on one of the days.

Innocent lives in Northern Ireland - you could PM her? I think it's unlikely anyone else will answer in time. Her member profile is here:

Should of asked spacegirl, I believe she works in tourism and is from Belfast originally :)

How was it, anyway, Jen? :)

Hiya

Yeah it was great fun (as you've probably seen from the pics on FB)

St Patricks day was really good too. It was good seeing the parade etc and we did the tourist thing and went on the open top bus etc which was quite interesting.

I would def recommend a visit there. The people are all dead friendly and the shopping centre is huge (although i didn't have enough money with me to do the drinking we were doing as well as shopping) so i'm trying to persuade the other half to take a trip there on weekend as my friends and i managed to get a good deal.

Hey

I'll have to check out your pics from Belfast later :)
Sounds like you had a great time there and I hope that you can get your partner to go with you for a weekend soon, especially as the spring and summer is kicking in :)

Once of my mates i went with has a couple of friends from over there so he'd been told about a few places.

It really is a great place. I'm hoping to go back with my other half sometime this year.
