how long does it take for a hair dye to fade in the sun?

It's a "How long is a piece of string?" question I'm afraid - it depends on the type of dye, the amount of sun exposure, and to a certain extent on your own hair colour. If you ask a hairdresser about using a specific dye on your hair, he or she may be able to give you a more accurate answer.

I find that most 'permanent' hair dyes are only vibrant on me for 4 weeks or so, but that it's washing it and not the sun that is the main culprit for the fading.
