Would you want the government to have total control over it? They would fiddle with it, make it weaker, it would cost a lot because they would make sure they taxed it. One of the reasons they make the prices so high is to deter people from buying things like ciggies and alcohol the same would happen with cannabis.

I think in a lot of cases it would become boring to some people and this could lead to them trying other things.

Not sure if someone has already asked you Mr.L but how strong is the weed that you smoke? Oh and how long do the effects last on you?

Reality is reality, i'm sorry to say. When you come back down from your high, your problems will still be there.

Whatever it is bothering you, I suggest that you deal with it! Don't allow it to continue on and on for a long period of time... Face your situation and sort out the problem.

hey i've not been in 4 a while so i just noticed this topic, I think that hash shud b legalised as i think it wud be safer and the government would be able to put legal controls over the age in which people buy it etc, this would stop younger people being able to get harder drugs and stuff, i smoke it but wont go onto tobacco cus i dont like the smell of it or anything and i know loads of ppl who sometimes smoke joints but not ciggies, as 4 it leading you onto harder things i took cocaine and speed before i tried hash and i've not took anything like that since i started smoking it, most of the people i know smoke it and its not really that big of a deal here (glasgow has more hash smokers than ne other city in britain :-? )

You can legalize it, you can put laws on it, it isn't going to change anything. Kids who aren;t of legal age to smoke or drink can still buy cigarettes and alcohol so its going to be the same for drugs.

Excellent point Llisa. Making something wrong does not mean people are going to stop doing it, and similarly making something right will not make people do it either. As an example, just because someone at aged 18 will be legally allowed to go see a horror film at the cinema it does not mean that they will go to the cinema at all, and the fact that there is an age restriction does not stop people from getting in to see the film.

Yeh, just because something is legal doesn't mean everyone will do it but I think it is likely that more people will.

I don't want to start a whole conversation Fidel but the cinema has age restictions for a reason, You don't want an 8 year old child going to see a film with killing and lots of sex scenes.

Its true no matter what happens someone wont be happy with it. The best thing maybe is to keep it as it is? Maybe when science develops further a non harmful drug will be made? Just a little thought there.
