Downtime due to fire in BT tunnels.

Postby Jo » Fri Apr 02, 2004 1:27 am

Regular visitors may have noticed that ProblemPages has been 'down' for about four days. This was due to a fire that broke out in a BT tunnel in Manchester. The fire caused damage to cables and wires on BT's network which brought down our web host for a few days (not to mention thousands of homes and businesses!).

Click here to read BT's news page about the fire or click here to read the story on the BBC website.

Everything seems to be back to normal now - fingers crossed!

I think that must be the longest downtime we've ever had! :o
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

Just remember to keep smiling!

And for once it wasn't the fault of the web host. You have no idea how relieved I was to see that the data was still intact!

I was thinking the same thing, that for a change it wasn't the fault of the Web host!
