It's been a year since my husband Ryan was KIA over in Iraq.

I still think about him and nothing and nobody will able to replace him.

My boyfriend did a gap year in Thailand and therefore has lots of friends there. Fingers crossed that they're all safe and well, although I can't see that being likely.

In rememberance of all the people that lost their lives in the floods about three weeks a go in the Philippines.

Such a tragedy yet practically no media coverage. Thankfully my family are ok.

My heart goes out to millions of peple who have been touched by this disaster. The 125,000 that have died, and the millions more that continue to suffer from famine, disease, flash floods and the horrific environment they are now living in.
My thoughts are all the famillies that are waiting to hear from their loved ones and those who wont be returning to them. I cannot imagine the pain they are going through.
Its better to burn out than fade away

I know the pain of having to wait to see if someone is dead or not, it is agony and my sympathy not only extends to those who have lost a loved one but to those who are waiting in dampened hope to see if their loved ones are returning. Many of those people will not return and it is a crying shame that this has been allowed to happen. This could've been better, we can't change the past but we can help change the future.
Last night I dreamt that somebody loved me.

This is for my beautiful, strong, dignified mother, who passed away peacefully yesterday morning. She went at sunrise, reminding us all that life goes on.

You're in my thoughts.
When you reach for the stars, you may not quite get them, but you won't come up with a handful of mud either.

Just remember to keep smiling!
