dont worry i am middle! im 15 almost 16 so around your big sister is 18....and my little sister is 6! i get the blame for everything my little sister does like if she gets hurt or whatever and my big sister is just the perfectic one! but i am slowly learning to just live with it! i am exactly like you! i suppose you could say were jealous in a way because we THINK our parents like them better but really they probably just dont know how to show how much they love us in three ways!

dont worry they will soon realise they are leaving you out!

I'm 24 and the eldest of 4 kids. I must admit when I was younger I used to pick on my brothers and sister a lot. I used to call them every name under the sun and blame them for everything and I'd get away with murder.

I didn't do it for any particular reason, just because I could. Then one day the eldest of my two brothers sat me down and talked to me, told me that I was a "nasty b*tch" in his words.

This made me think, and in the end I decided to be more thoughtful about there feelings.

Maybe you could try talking to your sister and your mum, and just explain that you get upset when your sister calls you names. Also why don't you try and have a "girly" night in. ask your mum and sister if they want to stay in and watch a film or play cards, something you can do as a group and have a laugh at the same time.

Hope this helps a little, Let me know how you get on

I am a middle child, now im 22, my sister is 27 and my brother is 19. But as we were growing up i did feel a little funny being the middle child because my brother and sister would stick up for each other and i always had to argue for myself. My mum seemed really interested in my sister and her having loads of friends and having the same interests as her, but i now know they dont intentionally leave me out or ignore me its just something that sometimes happens.

Im sure your mum feels just as proud of you as she does your sister, and im sure she thinks your personality is just as good as your sisters but in a different way.

I dont know whether youd be able to but how about trying to talk to your sister or your mum and jsut say you feel a little left out.
Now that we are all older a bit things have changed everyone tries to include each other and altho we are all different, i can see that my mum appreciates and loves us all for our own qualities which im sure is the case for your mum.
Dont forget to keep smiling :)

I am the youngest of three boys! So I've never felt like that! My brothers and I are very close, they've always looked out for me. I spoke to my middle brother the other day and he said he did feel left out because of the way my eldest brother protected me.
