Another one would be great Enigma. I know of a really good quick one on the net but I can't find it. It's on my computer somewhere! If I find it I'll post it up.

I've found it. Its only a quick one, I'll post the answer below.

Read this sentence:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS.

Now count aloud the ' F' s in that sentence.

Count them ONLY ONCE; do not go back and count them again.

Then see below..

Answer below (scroll down) ...

ANSWER:

There are six F's in the sentence. One of average intelligence finds
three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you
got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six,
you are a genius. There is no catch. Many people forget the OFs. The
human brain tends to see them as "V's" instead of "F's".

ok...
this is one to try out on your friends:

pinch me and punch me went for a walk. punch me died. whos was left?
when the person says pinch me, pinch them!

There are 20 people in an empty, square room. Each person has full sight of the entire room and everyone in it without turning his head or body, or moving in any way (other than the eyes). Where can you place an apple so that all but one person can see it?

I agree Amanda!

The maths one totally confused me... I had to do it 4 times on the calculator to realise what mistake I was making! lol

ok, here are a few to get you thinking, i'll tell you the answers later

What row of numbers comes next?
1
11
21
1211
111221
312211
13112221

A man walks up to you and says - "everything I say to you is a lie."
Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?

If you were running a race, and you passed the person in 2nd place, what place would you be in now?

Postby Amanda » Thu Apr 03, 2003 6:29 pm

how can you have 20 people in an empty room? the room is empty! having said that, you could put the apple on someones head!

which number comes next?
1113213211

(hope i didn't miss any out there!)

if you passed the person in second place, you would be in second place

ok, let me know how i did!

8)

i don't know about the lying guy - that's just like the "chicken or egg" question, isn't it?

oh, come on!

Postby Amanda » Thu Apr 03, 2003 7:53 pm

i'm sure the number one is right - in the last number you posted there was one 1, (11) one three (1113), two ones (111321) three two's (11132132) and one one (1113213211)

made sense to me

oh well, gotta be wrong sometime!
