Haven't got any siblings

Postby GurlRock » Thu Jun 09, 2005 1:13 pm

OK, on this area you go on about how u hate ur bro's and sisters.

My problem is i don't have a brother or sister and wish a had.

I can get really lonely, have no-one to talk to as my dad is always out and my mum is to busy with coursework to become a teaching assistant

With my mum being 45 soon there is no chance of a brother or sister on the way, plus my mum and dad r the least romantic i have ever known!

I just wish i had one to hang around with and hav fun.
They can't be all bad!

I have siblings but I understand how lonely it must be at times not to have any. Why dont you jion an after school club or get holiday work involving kids? Not the same thing as having a sibling but it might help! Also do you have cousins you can spend more time with?

How about Jenna's previous suggestion of an after school club?

Not necessarily something run by your school but other activites. For example, when I was 13, I used to go to a drama club every Monday round the corner from me and I was a member of the borough's Music School (although I didn't have much choice with the latter). if you look in your local paper or even your council's website you may be able to find something you would be interested in doing :)

I think it's one of those "grass is always greener" things where siblings are concerned.....do you ever have mates over to your place at all?

Yes, you should. Remember you're friends are just a call away, I'm sure that if you just picked up the phone and gave them a ring, they'd find something to do with you.

most often or not siblings can be older, younger etc, with an age difference that is not really that helpful, or fight all the time, I have a strong belief from personal experience that getting your own friends, can last a life time, not only do you get to choose your own friends but if all goes well they can mean more to you than family!
It may not happen at first but maybe as you get a little older you can join different clubs etc and meet new people, good luk!
we will sit upon the rocks,
and see the sheperds feed their flocks
by shallow rivers, to whose falls
melodious birds sing madrigals.

There are loads of summer jobs involving kids that you should look into.. How about looking for babysitting work as well?

Yeah, getting a little summer job would do you some good and just remember, getting a job means you get some money, which in turn means you'd have an excuse to go see your friends more often.

lol
